Holista Kaolin

Description

Natural kaolin clay is a product with excellent and fast anti-diarrheal action. It is safe for puppies and kittens. When used externally, it can be an ingredient in homemade toothpaste. In the form of compresses, it soothes skin irritations caused by insect bites or chafing.

Certified pharmaceutical-grade kaolin clay — also known as white kaolin clay — is composed of kaolinite, quartz, mica, and other minerals rich in silicon and aluminum. It is neutral in taste and smell.

Uses

Internal use:
Anti-diarrheal:
Kaolin clay shows rapid and effective anti-diarrheal action. It is safe for puppies and kittens. Mix the clay with a small amount of water to achieve a thick cream consistency, then administer the entire mixture directly into the mouth using a syringe or a spoon.

Do not administer with food. Maintain at least a 2-hour interval when giving medications, as clay has a strong absorbent ability that can reduce the absorption and effectiveness of medications.

If diarrhea persists or additional symptoms appear (such as vomiting, lethargy, or fatigue), consult a veterinarian.

External use:
Dental hygiene:
Mix about 8 g of clay with a small amount of water, approximately 0.5 ml of oil (any vegetable oil), and a few drops of lemon juice to obtain a consistency similar to human toothpaste. For a more pleasant taste, a pinch of krill meal can be added. Clean the teeth with a gauze wrapped around your finger or a special toothbrush. Perform the procedure once every few days.
Note: Never scrape tartar with hard tools or fingernails. Dogs with visible tartar buildup should undergo professional dental cleaning at a veterinary clinic.

Skin irritation:
Lightly dust the irritated area with a small amount of clay using a cosmetic pad.
