Wild Atlantic salmon are found in the North Atlantic Ocean, the Baltic Sea, and in European rivers. According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, this species is endangered in Europe, indicating an urgent need for protection. Supplementing with oils obtained from farmed fish fed with forage is ineffective.
The salmon from which Holista oil is pressed are FARMED IN FREE fish, meaning they are raised in open ocean farms, providing them with ample living space, fresh water with natural salinity, low and stable temperatures, and good oxygenation. Most importantly, there’s no need for antibiotics. Natural conditions are replicated, ensuring a lipid profile comparable to that found in wild-caught fish. Fish raised this way have no impact on ocean ecosystems and are in balance with them.
Raised without the use of antibiotics, GMO feeds, or growth promoters, the salmon are fed 100% naturally. Their diet is rich, resulting in very high levels of EPA and DHA, comparable to wild-caught fish.
