The salmon from which Holista oil is pressed are farmed in open ocean farms, providing them with ample living space, fresh water with natural salinity, low and stable temperatures, and good oxygenation. The salmon are raised without the use of antibiotics. These conditions replicate aspects of their natural environment, resulting in a lipid profile comparable to that found in wild-caught fish. These farming practices are designed to reduce their impact on surrounding marine ecosystems.
